Transnational Capacity Building Collaboration Workshops
The project AHEAD strives to strengthen the transnational collaboration among European and African partner organizations in order to ensure the impact, usability and quality of the project deliverables. For this reason, three collaboration workshops are envisaged during the project implementation:
The aim of the event is to review the African universities needs and expectations regarding the open educational resources (OERs); Resource pack on Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship Education; as well as to discuss suitable case studies in inclusive and grassroots innovations. During the collaborative workshops the institutional self-assessment reports will be presented and finalized for the creation of Background reports on National Innovation System Analyses in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The event will be hosted by the State University of Zanzibar in July 2018.
- Second Capacity Building Workshop
The workshop will be dedicated to strengthening the impact and quality of the deliverables developed so far and to prepare for the implementation of the upcoming tasks through collaborative work and joint activities. It will be hosted by Kyambogo University, Uganda in December 2019 and will gather approximately 40 participants from all partner organizations.
- Third Capacity Building Workshop
The transnational project workshop will be aimed at reviewing AHEAD results especially with regard to the Virtual Knowledge Gateways and drafting sustainability networking plans for the establishment of Innovation for Development Hubs in each African university. It will be hosted by Kenyatta University in May 2020.
